New Boilers in Four Oaks, Sutton Coldfield

Four Oaks is where Sutton Coldfield's biggest houses are. The estate was laid out on the parkland of the old Four Oaks Hall, and the roads through it are lined with large detached houses on generous plots, many of them extended more than once. When the boiler in a house like that needs replacing, the usual advice for a smaller home simply does not apply.

The mistake we see most in Four Oaks is a large combi fitted to a house with three or four bathrooms. A combi can only heat so much water at once, and in a big household that means a weak shower whenever someone else runs a tap. The better answer is nearly always a system boiler with an unvented cylinder, which stores hot water and delivers it at mains pressure to several outlets at the same time.

Some Four Oaks houses still run an older regular boiler with cold water tanks in the loft. Whether to keep that layout or convert to a sealed system depends on the pipework, the mains pressure in the road, and how the house is used now, and we will talk through both before anything is decided.
